Why Clean Your Wall or Brickwork?

Visual Appeal – Clean, bright brickwork and sharp pointing give your home or garden a tidy, well-maintained appearance.

Algae & Moss Removal – Organic growth, dead or alive, can make surfaces look unsightly and hold moisture. Cleaning removes these and discourages their return.

Longer-Lasting Cleanliness – Removing build-up makes brickwork easier to maintain and keeps it looking better for longer.

Perfect for Decorating – Clean walls provide a great base for painting, rendering, or re-pointing if you're planning further improvements.

After Alterations – If you've just had a conservatory or attachment removed, it's likely to have left behind adhesives or a 'dirt shadow'.

Our Process

  1. Assessment & Preparation – We inspect the surface type, pointing condition, and level of build-up to determine the right cleaning method.
  2. Pre-Clean Preparation  Loose debris, dirt, moss, and vegetation are cleared before washing.
  3. Soft Wash or Low-Pressure Cleaning  Depending on the surface:
    • Modern brickwork: Gently pressure washed using the correct nozzles and pressure levels.
    • Older or more delicate surfaces: Treated with a soft wash solution to loosen dirt and organic matter safely.
  4. Precision Detailing – Hard-to-reach areas and mortar joints are cleaned carefully without disrupting the pointing. Old adhesives will be dissolved by pressure, or removed by hand if necessary.
  5. Biocide Treatment (Optional) – We can apply a biocide to prevent the quick return of algae or moss and help keep your brickwork looking its best.
  6. Removal of Excess Mortar (Optional) – Where excess mortar is present, we can remove this using brick acid.
